you CAN have it all...through others
Well, we're only a few days away from our Grouplink. I hope you've at least considered joining a Connection Group and if you've been in one before, I hope you're joining one again. Here's why they are so important: Because God has designed things so that without close Christian fellowship, you won't be all you could be...not even close! Why? Because you can't have it all without others!!! Have what? Well, you see, the Bible tells us that we are each equipped with certain spiritual gifts. Spiritual gifts are various 'tools' that God gives us to enhance our relationship with him and help us to become more like Jesus. Some of us have some and others have others, but none of us have them all! So, how do we get them 'all' so that we can be the best we can be for God? You develop spiritual relationships--relationship with people who share your faith that will encourage you in your relationship with Jesus. Isn't it enough that we give our hearts to Jesus? Well, that's just where it starts! To keep your relationship growing, we not only need a one-on-one relationship with Jesus, but also the relationships God has with others...and there's no way to get the benefit of that than to share life with other believers. I'm not just talking about the casual, "Hi, how ya doin'?" I'm talking about, "Hey, what's God doing in your life? What are you struggling with? How can I pray for you? How can I support you in your relationship with him?" Those are the deeper questions that spur growth and allow God to work through each of us in the lives of other believers. So, you've heard it said that you can't have it all. And that's true in our relationship with God, too...UNLESS we are in close relationship with other believers. You've got a great opportunity to create that through a Connection Group. Grouplink is this Sunday! Hope you're planning to be there!
