sunday at GFMC

Here's a recap of what took place this weekend at GFMC:

The Message...

Living for Jesus is first and foremost about relationship.

Because of God's generosity, he has given us the privilege and honor of being family.

Serving Jesus is not a duty; it's a privilege! We get to, not have to!

Things that keep us from living Jesus with privilege and their remedies:

1) Serving Jesus can feel like drudgery if we're attempting to do it without living in a relationship with him. The remedy: live in relationship with Jesus and follow him.

2) The cares, riches and pleasures of this world can crowd out our relationships with Jesus. The remedy: turn away from those things and do the things we did at first in our relationship with him.

3) Battle fatigue can drain even a vital relationship. The remedy: Jesus said, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."

The Music...

Here's the music that was used Sunday:

"Love the Lord"/"Lord I Lift Your Name on High" - Brewster/Founds
"Shine"/"How Great Is Our God" - Matt Redman/Cash, Reeves, Tomlin

"Resurrection" (Lisa Davis) - Nicole Sponberg
"Who Am I" (Jerry & Jennifer Gillespie) - Casting Crowns

Here's what you'll be hearing this Sunday:

"Today Is the Day"/"Rock of Ages" - Brewster, Paul Baloche/Rita Baloche
"Lifesong" - Mark Hall
"I Give You My Heart" -Reuben Morgan

Let's keep striving to LIVE JESUS with privilege, passion and purpose!
